Sunnyhill invites passionate community members to join our Development Committee and help light the path to empowered living for individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
Since 1978, Sunnyhill has provided person-centered supports that empower individuals to grow, connect, and thrive throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Through residential services, behavioral supports, life skills development, family navigation, and community integration, we help create brighter futures every day.
At Sunnyhill, we believe every act of kindness creates a ripple of impact. That ripple is what we call The Sunshine Effect.
What Does the Development Committee Do?
The Development Committee helps raise the voice and visibility of Sunnyhill throughout the community. Committee members help:
Raise awareness and expand Sunnyhill’s community presence
Plan marketing and impact campaigns
Support fundraising events and donor engagement opportunities
Coordinate volunteer involvement and community connections
Advocate for inclusion and empowered living for individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities
Committee members meet four times annually and typically contribute between 20–40 volunteer hours per year.
Serving on a committee is also the first step toward future leadership opportunities, including potential service on the Sunnyhill Board of Directors. It’s a meaningful — and fun — way to get involved, build relationships, and make a lasting impact.
