This is a high-impact volunteer role essential to sustaining an Iron Spike income stream. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, tech-savvy individual with strong communication and computer skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine updates to the Museum's website using Google
Ensure website and social media content is accurate, current and reflects Museum branding
Assist in optimizing website content for clarity and user-friendliness
Develop, schedule, and post engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g., Facbook, Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube) that aligns with museum activities and values
Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages professionally and appropriately, and escalate comments/messages to staff when necessary
Optimal Qualifications and Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with various social media platforms and scheduling tools
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professiona, empathetic demeanor
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
