We are looking for assistance in several areas. The average time committment is expected to be 3-5 hours per month and would include one virtual meeting per month. Grounds and Beautification ChairSummary: The Grounds and Beautification Chair is responsible for leading all volunteer efforts related to the physical upkeep and beautification of the cemetery.Duties:Coordinate and lead regular volunteer days for tasks like trash removal, weeding, and raking.Plan and oversee larger landscaping projects.Manage and maintain tools and equipment for groundskeeping. Research and Preservation ChairSummary: The Research and Preservation Chair leads our efforts to document, protect, and restore the historical artifacts within the cemetery, including gravestones, markers, and archival records.Duties:Oversee research projects to document cemetery records and historical maps.Lead and train volunteers on proper techniques for gravestone cleaning, repair, and documentation.Collaborate with local historical societies and preservation groups. Fundraising ChairSummary: The Fundraising Chair is a proactive leader who drives our efforts to secure the financial resources needed to sustain our mission.Duties:Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising plan.Organize and lead fundraising events, from large community gatherings to smaller, targeted campaigns.Manage donor relationships and write grant proposals to secure funding.
