Empower others to prepare before disaster strikes.As a Be Red Cross Ready Instructor, you’ll represent the American Red Cross in your community by delivering free, preparedness education. This role helps individuals and families understand how to prepare for and respond to emergencies.You’ll teach a standardized curriculum on general emergency preparedness and local hazards such as home fires, floods, winter storms, wildfires, and more.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality Be Red Cross Ready presentations in community settingsCoordinate with the Program Leader to gather and return necessary materialsTrack and report all completed presentations using Red Cross reporting toolsCollect participant feedback via post-presentation surveys
Qualifications:Comfortable with public speakingAble to connect with diverse individuals and communitiesStrong communication and organizational skillsAble to follow program materials and reporting instructions
Training Provided:Complete Red Cross training in the Be Red Cross Ready curriculum via our learning platformOngoing support from Red Cross staff and team leaders
Development Opportunities:Build confidence in public speaking and facilitationGain experience in community education and outreachOpportunity for increased leadership roles within Red Cross preparedness programs
