We're seeking volunteers to lead small-group workshops for adults who want to build confidence using computers, email, social media, and common software applications.Workshops take place in public libraries and other community spaces, serving adults who may have limited access to technology or prior experience. Your support helps community members become more confident, informed, and connected in today’s digital world.These workshops are an exciting expansion of our free, one-on-one digital literacy services already offered at over 15 partner locations—and we’re growing every year.
About LiteracyCNY
Through the use of one-to-one tutoring, small group classes, conversation groups, drop-in or appointment-based computer help, and online learning tools and resources LiteracyCNY uses volunteers to help members of the community to increase their skills in reading, math, English language, and digital literacy so that they are able to fully engage in life as parents, workers, consumers, and citizens.Please note: All volunteers must be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, and have completed high school or the equivalent. Tutoring opportunities are available in Onondaga County. Digital Literacy Volunteer opportunities are available in Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, and Herkimer Counties.
