Be a voice for change by sharing life-changing information with your community.ROLE OVERVIEW Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who deliver engaging, Alzheimer’s Association-prepared presentations to a variety of audiences. Through education, you’ll raise awareness, connect families to resources, and help change the way people understand and approach dementia.KEY ACTIVITIESDeliver ~12 presentations annually using pre-approved contentPartner with staff to identify venues, schedule sessions, and coordinate logisticsPresent at local events, conferences, or virtual sessionsRefer attendees to additional programs and the 24/7 HelplineServe as an ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Association in your communityQUALIFICATIONSāœ… Strong communication and presentation skillsāœ… Comfortable with technology and virtual delivery toolsāœ… Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partnersāœ… Passion for the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission (personal/professional experience a plus)COMMITMENTšŸ—“ļø Minimum 1-year term leading monthly events šŸ—“ļø Goal of 12 presentations per yearšŸŽ“ Participation in training and continued educationšŸ” Terms renewed annually through staff goal settingBENEFITS TO YOUšŸŽ¤ Build your public speaking skills and confidence🧠 Expand your knowledge of dementia and caregivingšŸ’œ Be recognized as a local resource and educatoršŸ¤ Join a movement of dedicated volunteers making a real impactTRAINING & SUPPORT PROVIDED We provide structured training, mentoring, and all presentation materials.
