Circle of Care

We are seeking Event Volunteers who can help us welcome attendees at Circle of Care events.
The Circle of Care is a movement helping Richmond residents stay connected through simple monthly check in calls. At community events, we invite people to start a Circle of their own, choosing three or more people they already know and committing to one monthly check in. These small circles create a proactive support system across Richmond.
We are seeking Event Volunteers who can help us welcome attendees, share the message of the Circle of Care, and assist people in signing up to begin their own circles. This is warm, relational outreach, not sales, not pressure. Just inviting people into a movement that strengthens our city.
What You’ll Do
- Greet attendees with warmth and dignity
- Share a simple, clear explanation of the Circle of Care
- Help people sign up to start their own circle
- Support the team at community events, fairs, meetings, and gatherings
Ideal Volunteer
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable talking with the public
- Believes in community connection and proactive care
- Enjoys event environments and light outreach
- Can stand or sit at a table for short periods
Time Commitment
- Flexible, event based
- Most events last 1–3 hours
- Training and talking points provided
Impact
Your presence helps people take the first step toward building their own Circle of Care. Every sign up strengthens the network of support across our city making sure more residents feel seen, valued, and connected.
You will get dates and locations when you sign up but all locations will be in the city of Richmond.
We have opportunities for people to volunteer from home also.
