Melwood is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our Family Fall FunFest & Spooktacular Trunk or Treat event a howling success! This fun-filled event will be held on Friday, October 31 from 5:00-9:00pm at the Melwood Recreation Center, 9035 Ironsides Road, Nanjemoy, MD. Choose from two (2) spine-tingling shifts:Pre-event Prep Squad, 9:00am-3:00pm – Get the celebration started by: setting up tables and coverings, staging activities and games, placing signage for attendees, creating a cozy volunteer lounge, preparing the sensory space, arranging the pumpkin patch, setting up the glow party and organizing vendor tables.Spooktacular Event Team, 3:30-9:30pm – Keep the FallFest spirit alive by: greeting guests with a warm (or chilling) welcome, assisting with games and activities, monitoring the movie area, supervising the s’mores station (safety first!), directing parking and shuttling guests at offsite location (6 volunteers needed), and helping with event clean up.Don’t miss out on this Fang-tastic event.
