About this opportunity

PurposeThis position supports the Regional Service to the Armed Forces department. This position description is for individuals serving in a leadership capacity in an MTF clinic: Hospital/Dental/Veterinary/Medevac Clinic Leads; Volunteer/Youth/Special Events and Transportation Services LeadsResponsibilitiesEnsure volunteers follow any guidelines related to uniform and immunization requirementsEnsure volunteers maintain professionalism and follow the Red Cross Code of ConductFollow up with volunteers and military entities to ensure job satisfaction and/or needs of both are metConduct annual and ongoing clinic needs assessmentAssist in planning and participating in volunteer recognition activitiesMaintain accurate records and reportsCoordinate and schedule unit-required volunteer training as neededInteract and liaise with volunteers and Red Cross management and military personnel as neededEnsure continuity of required specialized volunteer training, placement and volunteer recognition.Ensure volunteers are tracking hours in Volunteer ConnectionTime Commitment8-10 hours weekly, spread out over 2+ days per week. - In PersonSome flexibility is required.Volunteering options are Monday through Friday during regular business hours.COVID Vaccination Required (Fully, 2 weeks after 2nd dose)Needs to be a US Citizen without Dual citizenshipQualificationsWillingness to comply with Red Cross and Military Treatment Facility COVID-19 policiesAdditional security and health clearances may be required by medical treatment facilities in compliance with government regulationsFamiliarity with the medical facility organization and knowledge of volunteer guidelines within a medical settingKnowledge of Red Cross programs and services; knowledge of military protocolAbility to work well with diff
