Lesson Volunteers to Work with Horses and Adults and Children with Special Needs

Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. works with adults and children with special needs and helps them work through their disabilities by working with and/or riding horses. Lesson volunteers fulfill a variety of assignments including leading horses during lessons, assisting with students with special needs during the lessons, grooming horses and preparing them for lessons and basic barn cleaning. No experience necessary - will train.Steps to volunteering: https://www.queenofheartsranch.org/volunteer-opportunities/Listed below is our current weekly schedule (subject to change):Mondays: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.Wednesdays: 10:00am - 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.mThursdays: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.The days and times marked with () are where we are in most need of volunteers to help with lessons but other opportunities are available!
About Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc.
We provide equine-assisted services including teaching horseback riding to adults and children with special needs. We are a PATH Int'l Premier Accredited Center and we use the EAGALA method of equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning. We have adaptive horseback riding equipment to assist those who have difficulty walking and we have a wheelchair-to-horse lift to help transfer riders to horses.
