Veteran to Veteran Companionship/We Honor Veterans

Hospice of Havasu offers Veteran-to-Veteran companionship visits to our Veteran patients of the Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, Fort Mohave communities. We also participate in the We Honor Veterans' program which involves a pinning ceremony which includes a certificate honoring the patient's service to our country, a warm cozy patriotic blanket, a prayer by our veteran volunteer chaplain, and a final salute to the patient. There are usually a few family members or friends in attendance, and it can be quite a moving experience. Veterans share a special camaraderie amongst themselves, so if you're a veteran and would like to be part of this program, please consider becoming a Hospice of Havasu Veteran to Veteran volunteer.❤We have many other patient related and non-patient related volunteer opportunities, too. (Veteran or non-veteran) So if you're not a veteran, we still need compassionate caring folks to sit and visit with some of our patients who live alone or are socially isolated due to mobility issues.❤
