About SECOND CHANCE TUCSON INC

Second Chance Tucson (SCT) held its first community event on September 27, 2014 at Pima Community College West Campus, featuring nationally recognized speakers presenting to a crowd of about 300 people. SCT presented in person community forums annually until 2020, after which we have presented 4 online community forums usually to about 100 people. Historically, SCT has collaborated with the Pima Animal Care Center for a Volunteer Day of Service on Cesar Chavez' birthday. Our first Job Fair was at Pima College West on March 20, 2014, which was repeated annually thereafter at the Tucson Convention Center until 2020. Each job fair had in excess of 30 employers and more than 500 justice-system involved job seekers. Our first post-COVID Job Fair will be on August 17, 2023 at the Tucson Convention Center. SCT plans to reach out to incarcerated individuals while they are still in custody in future programming, which could be in person, recorded or online. SCT also plans to expand its community engagement and networking efforts to expand the population it can assist.
