Clean Ride Crew - Riverside Dr.

Help Streets Are For Everyone improve the conditions and saftety of a bike lane of Riverside Dr!
Why: The protected bike lane on Riverside Dr is a commuting and recreational hub for cyclists, with nearby connections to both the LA River Trail and Griffith Park. However, this lane is typically unusable and unsafe due to trash and debris buildup taking over the lane. Join SAFE, Council District 4, and the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council as we join forces to work on cleaning up Riverside Dr, making it safer and cleaner for cyclists and all users.
Who: Streets Are For Everyone is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in January 2014 that aims to improve the quality of life for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers alike. SAFE addresses the problem in a holistic fashion through direct education, broad awareness campaigns, partnerships, community outreach, policy and legislation, support for those impacted, and other proven strategies.
What to Expect: What You’ll Be Doing:
Scooping up debris and garbage
Sweeping bike lanes
Reporting more serious issues like cracks and potholes to city officials
Free t-shirts, snacks, water, and donuts will be available.
All tools and equipment needed will be provided.
What's Required:
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to participate
Please arrive no later than 9:00 a.m.
Pro tip: Work gloves, comfortable closed toe shoes, and sunscreen are a good idea!​
