Test Plot; Community Habitat Restoration

Come get your hands dirty with Test Plot!
Why: Help Test Plot build sustainable habitat for local bird populations and other wildlife. Volunteers will be helping to maintain habitat restoration sites through, invasive species removal, watering, and more. This is a great opportunity to learn about local wildlife and CA native plants!
Who: The Audubon Center at Debs Park mission is to inspire people to experience, understand, and care for the natural world, starting in our own neighborhoods. We focus on restoring habitat for birds and other wildlife at Debs Park and along the L.A. River, while also restoring the vital connection between people and the land in Los Angeles.
What to Expect:
Wear close-toed shoes, layers, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty
Hats and sun protection are highly recommended
Drinking fountain is available on-site, please bring a reusable water bottle
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves
All tools and materials will be sanitized after use
Parking is available on-site. If the parking lot is full, please park along Griffin Ave.
Please leave your furry friends at home
What's Required:
Volunteers must sign a waiver on-site.
Volunteers must be at minimum 14 years old and any volunteer between the ages of 14 to 18 must have their guardian sign their waiver in-person.
