Repair Cafe Support Volunteers

Rockland Conservation Service Corps' Repair Cafe is a community event where handy volunteers meet with community members to fix their broken items at no cost. The goal of Repair Cafe is to bring the community together and pass down valuable repair skills while keeping items in circulation rather than the landfill.
Support Volunteers are needed to assist with Repair Cafe with a variety of tasks:
Logistics: event set up and break down. Volunteers arrive at event before start time and/or stay slightly after
Assist Repair Coaches: helping Repair Coaches manage their station and supplying them with tools, signing guests in and out at their table, assisting with repairs
Assist attendees: helping bring repair items in and out, providing information, directing guests, helping guests bring their items to the correct station
Registration: signing people in and out of the event
Translation: Spanish-speaking volunteers helping to translate if needed
Other tasks as needed
