Position Overview - Coordinate and create content for Humane Action Pittsburgh TikTok accountPurpose of the Position - Increase visibility and impact of HAP by leveraging the popular social media channel Engage with HAP members and members of the public to address our campaigns and issues Duties and Responsibilities - Work with leadership to decide social media initiatives and strategies for HAP Grow participation and impact with the public Coordinate with other volunteers for consistent messaging via social media channels Draft and schedule posts in a timely manner Respond to HAP leadership emails and calls within 48 hours Attend monthly leadership and communication meetings Share and support HAP's mission and core values; adhere to HAP's policies Other duties as needed Skills and Qualifications - Excellent written communication skills Passion and knowledge on animal and environmental welfare issues Working knowledge of digital communication tools, including email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and primarily TikTok Self-motivated Ability to present yourself in a friendly, professional, and nonpartisan manner Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and meet deadlines Time Commitment RequiredApproximately 2 - 4 hours a week Bimonthly one-hour, virtual communications team meetingsMonthly one-hour, virtual leadership meetingsSupervisorShannon Dickerson, Director of OperationsNatalie Ahwesh, Executive DirectorDress CodeProfessional dress required for professional meetings (if any).
