Gift and Thrift accepts donations of clothing, furniture and household items that are processed for sale to the general public, or recycled.We are always looking for volunteers to help us sort, process, and help stock donated items. From housewares to toys, seasonals to gardening supplies, fabric to books, Furniture to linens, we have opportunities to work with all kinds of items in many different ways!We would love to talk with you about volunteer opportunities with Gift & Thrift!
About Gift and Thrift, Inc.
Gift and Thrift, Inc. provides a place for community members to drop off used items including books, furniture, clothing, electronics and other household items instead of putting them in the landfill. Items are treated with care as they are processed, cleaned, repaired, priced, and put out for sale. Gift & Thrift donates a portion of our proceeds to the Mennonite Central Committee, which works for peace and justice throughout the world. We also support more than a dozen local nonprofits that serve at-risk people in our community. Lastly, we work hard to keep as much as possible out of the dump. Whenever possible, we give new life to things once deeply loved!Our volunteers sort, clean, and repair these items and place them in our retail area or on-line for resale. Much of what we cannot use we recycle.
