About Patrick Henry's Red Hill

Patrick Henry's Red Hill, stewarded by the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation, was founded in 1944 to care for Red Hill and establish it as a National Memorial to Patrick Henry. After acquiring Red Hill from the Henry family, the Foundation began the process of restoring the property and constructing a museum to house what is now the largest collection of Patrick Henry-related artifacts in the world.Today, Red Hill includes Patrick Henry’s grave and law office, his reconstructed house and other outbuildings, rare artifacts in the E. Stuart James Grant Museum Room, and a growing network of interpretive scenic trails. Educational programs such as living history days, school field trips, adult lectures, and museum exhibitions provide ample opportunities for community engagement and education.
