Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
The Lucy Corr Foundation Dental Clinic is seeking volunteer dentists to provide compassionate, accessible dental care to underserved older adults who face financial or geographic barriers to receiving oral healthcare. Volunteer dentists are needed to provide clinical services, including examinations, preventive care, restorative treatment, denture-related care, and other appropriate dental services based on each patient’s needs.
By volunteering their time and expertise, dentists help patients improve their oral health, comfort, confidence, and overall quality of life. Each volunteer plays an important role in expanding access to care and ensuring that older adults in our community can receive the dental services they deserve with dignity and compassion.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide dental examinations, assessments, and treatment to eligible patients of the Lucy Corr Foundation Dental Clinic.
Develop appropriate treatment recommendations based on each patient’s individual oral health needs.
Provide preventive, restorative, and other appropriate dental services within the volunteer dentist’s scope of practice.
Evaluate and address common dental concerns, including pain, infection, damaged or missing teeth, and denture-related needs.
