About Better2gether
Better2gether is a Richmond-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children with rare, chronic, and complex medical conditions and the families who care for them. Through emotional support, practical resources, community connections, and family-centered programs, we help ensure that no family navigates their medical journey alone.
Volunteer Role: Family Meal Delivery Volunteer
Better2gether is seeking four dependable, long-term volunteers to help deliver meals to local families caring for medically complex children.
For many of the families we serve, days are filled with medical appointments, therapies, hospital visits, and caregiving responsibilities. A delivered meal provides more than just food—it offers a much-needed evening of relief, allowing families to spend less time worrying about dinner and more time focusing on their loved ones.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Pick up prepared meals from Redeemer Lutheran Church at:
9400 Redbridge Road North Chesterfield, VA 23236
Deliver meals to approximately 3–4 assigned families
Ensure meals are delivered safely and respectfully on the same day they are picked up
Communicate with Better2gether staff regarding successful deliveries or any concerns
Commitment:
Date: The 15th of every month
Frequency: Ongoing monthly commitment preferred but not required
Time: Approximately 2–4 hours, depending on delivery locations

Prince George County
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Valid driver's license and ability
