Enchanted Rock State Natural Area - Beat the Heat Safety Volunteer

Duties include:-Run a heat safety table-Offer water from coolers-Educate guests on temperature and granite effects on dog paws-Ensure guests pack enough water-Educate guest what to do if they need help-Ensure guests have physical or downloaded maps with them-Communicate with Park Staff to assist with Search and Rescues (SARs) -Answer any questions guests may have about our park and resourcesDescription of Location: Located along high traffic areas in our park (trailheads such as gazebo and west side loop trail). A location in the backcountry along loop trail will help mitigate emergencies further from our water sources in the front. Schedule Availability:*2-hour shifts. 9-11am, 11-1pm, 1-3pm*Fri-Sun: Preferred, all areas neededMon-Thur: volunteers only needed at trail heads
