Elara Caring, one of the nation's largest providers of home-based and hospice care, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life companionship to local hospice patients and their families.We are officially accepting in-person volunteers! This includes:Reading storiesMaking craftsPlaying gamesMeaningful chatsAnd providing emotional support for a patient as they navigate hospice care"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world." - Dr. SeussHours are very flexible! You can choose from weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Typically, we ask you to donate an hour of your time once a week.The onboarding process includes a background check, and TB test to maintain compliance with the TEXAS Department of Public Health.
