Volunteer Companionship Visitors Needed for Hospice Patients

Gentiva Hospice is looking for willing hearts to provide companionship and emotional support to patients with life limiting conditions and their caregivers. Our patients reside in nursing homes and assisted living facilities all over the Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys, & Perry County areas. How you serve and how often is completely up to you!
Here are a few examples of how our Facility Volunteers support. Provide with our facility-based hospice patients through any of the following: Provide companionship and emotional support. Provide a listening ear. Encourage them to share life experiences. Play games (cards, board games, etc.) and watch TV with them. Read to them. Sing/play an instrument to them.
