Volunteer Driver for Older Adults

Thank you for showing interest in being a Driver for Community Life Ride! We are focused on bridging the gap of unmet needs for older adults in our community. This program does that in a couple of ways. The first is by bridging the transportation gap. With this program, older adults are able to get wherever they want to go! The second is by fighting social isolation many people face as they age. By pairing volunteer drivers with the riders, many amazing friendships and connections are made.
Being a driver is easy and fun! We use an online system that allows you to sign up for the rides that work best for your schedule. You get to pick the who, what, where and how long.
To be a Driver you must:
be 21 or older
complete a volunteer training class
complete a background and driving record check
be willing to transport older adults in your own car
