Play Like a Girl pairs middle school girls with women professionals who show up as mentors, role models, and proof of what is possible. Finding the right women takes a community. Mentor Recruitment Ambassadors help us grow that community by connecting us with women in their personal and professional networks who are ready to show up for girls.Volunteers Will:Share Play Like a Girl mentor opportunities with women in your network on an ongoing basisHelp us reach women professionals we would not find on our ownPlay a direct role in ensuring girls have access to role models who look like them and believe in what they are capable of There is no quota and no reporting requirement. You simply keep Play Like a Girl on your radar and pass the word along when the right person crosses your path.All work is done remotely at your own pace. Background check required before participation.
About Play Like A Girl!
Play Like a Girl is on a bold mission to level the playing field for girls by leveraging the skills gained from sports to propel young women into careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Our program prepares girls for successful careers by providing practical experiences and skills training. Participants engage in project-based learning, industry field trips, and career exploration activities that expose them to various professions and industries. By partnering with local businesses and organizations, we create opportunities that allow girls to gain real-world experience and build professional networks.
