Community Cat Care Volunteer

Community cats are outdoor, free-roaming cats. They may be friendly or feral. Our Community Cat Program reduces the number of cats entering shelters and improves the lives of cats living outdoors.
Through the program, we humanely trap, evaluate, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and ear-tip to signify sterilization, and return community cats to their original habitats - a process known as Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).
Volunteering in the Community Cat House is a very rewarding role, as you have a direct impact on the cats and kittens that we are currently serving.
Core Responsibilities
Giving food & water to Cats
Replace soiled puppy pads and scoop litter boxes
Clean and sanitize cages and traps
Restock necessary items such as food, cleaning supplies, puppy pads and linens
Sweep, mop and take out trash
Communicate with CCPC regarding any abnormalities or needs
* All jobs are done in the air conditioned feral cat house or spay/neuter clinic.
Time Commitment and Location
Pet Community Center is located at 5233 Harding Place, Suite 5247 Nashville, TN 37217
Commitment to at least 2 shifts per month. Shifts usually last from 30-90 minutes.
Times and days are flexible

Minimum age: 18.
