Local Legends Tour: Stage Tech Volunteer at Nashville Fair

Support Nashville’s rising youth musicians by serving as a Stage Tech Volunteer for the YEAH! Local Legends Tour, a multi‑site performance series showcasing young artists across some of the city’s legendary stages and community spaces. Stage Tech Volunteers help youth bands load in, set up, and transition smoothly between performances to help ensure every young artist feels supported, prepared, and ready to shine.
Role Overview
As a Stage Tech Volunteer, you’ll assist with load‑in and load‑out, help youth musicians get their gear set onstage, and maintain a steady flow between performances. Each event has its own unique setup and instrumentation, and YEAH! will coordinate with you ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect. All gear is provided by YEAH!.
Key Responsibilities
Stage setup & breakdown: Assist with loading in/out youth bands, arranging gear, and resetting the stage between acts.
Performer flow: Guide youth musicians on and off stage, helping them transition smoothly to the next performance.
Gear support: Help position amps, connect cables, place microphones, and ensure each performer is ready.
Event coordination: Communicate with YEAH! staff and follow the run‑of‑show for each venue.
Youth support: Model patience, encouragement, and professionalism while helping young performers feel confident and cared for.
Instrumentation & Prep
Instrumentation varies by event - some dates feature full youth bands, others highlight solo performers or small ensembles. YEAH! will provide info before the event outlining expected gear, performer needs, and stage layout so you can prepare confidently.
