Volunteer Recruitment

When you become a volunteer at Prisma Health-Midlands, you not only provide necessary aide to various departments and units, you also provide a much needed hand to hold, an ear to listen, a hug for comfort, and a smile to let each patient, family or visitor know that they are welcomed and cared for.
When a volunteer reaches out to our patients, families, and visitors, it means more. They know that volunteers are here because they want to be here, not because they are paid to be here, and the rewards of a kind heart having a lasting effect that no one will ever forget. Did you know that mileage for volunteering is tax deductible? When you become a volunteer at Prisma Health-Midlands, you are a team member, and receive benefits and discounts in the community (yes, we do have an app for that).
For instance:
1) Eligible for a free annual Health Screening, including PSA for men (after 100 hours of service).
2) Eligible to become a Palmetto Health Credit Union member. Still, volunteers receive additional benefits that paid team members do not. For instance, volunteers will receive:
1) A voucher towards a meal in the cafeteria for each shift that they volunteer.
2) Eligible to receive discounts off their final bill for hospital services. For instance, 25% off hospital inpatient services and 50% off hospital outpatient services (after 500 hours of service). Volunteers are very important to Prisma Health-Midlands, and we can never have too many!
