Medical Equipment Cleaning Event Supervisor

Assist ME provides gently used medical equipment to low income, uninsure patients with low mobility free of charge. When we get the equipment donated, it has to be cleaned. This involves a volunteer spraying the item with cleaning fluid like Simple Green and after a few minutes, wiping it down. For most items that is all it takes.Once a week or so, a group of 4 to 8 volunteers, often high school students, meet at the Atrium Myers Park clinic and clean equipment that has been donated.We need a person good at supervising this type of event. A typical event lasts about two hours. Besides instructing the volunteers on how to clean (very simple), the supervisor would attach labels to the equipment once cleaned and checked and scan the labels into the system.All cleaning cloths, cleaning fluids, brushes, etc are provided by Assist ME.Watch our video to learn more: Assist ME Equipment Assures Safe Discharge

Assist ME takes in gently used medical equipment, such as standard manual wheelchairs, bedside commodes, tub transfer benches, shower chairs, etc. ), clean them up and gift them to low income, uninsured patients. When patients have this type of equipment, they fall less often and are readmitted to hospitals less often.
