About this opportunity

United Way of Florence County is looking for a passionate, community-driven volunteer to lead our Barriers to Employment program - an initiative that provides one-time, short-term assistance to individuals who have documented job offers but need temporary support to begin working.As the lead volunteer for Barriers to Employment, you'll play a key role in helping individuals take the final step toward meaningful employment. Your responsibilities will include scheduling and conducting client intake appointments, making 6- and 12-month follow-up calls, ordering essential items for participants, and working closely with our Director of Community Impact and Marketing to expand the program’s reach. The position offers complete flexibility-appointments can be grouped to fit your availability, making it easy to volunteer on your terms.**Your involvement could be the reason someone gets a better job, earns a living wage, and takes a meaningful step toward long-term self-sufficiency.**Know someone perfect for the role - or think it might be you?
