The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking passionate hikers to serve as Volunteer Leaders for Do What You Love to End ALZ™, our signature fundraising campaign that empowers people to turn their passions into purpose.As a Hiking Volunteer Leader, you’ll recruit fellow hikers, organize fundraising hikes, and coach participants to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.Whether you’re part of a hiking club, lead group treks, or just love the trail, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact through the activity you already enjoy.Your Role Will Include:Recruiting hikers, clubs, and outdoor groups to start fundraising hikesCoaching participants on how to plan, promote, and fundraise for their eventsHosting recruitment hikes or info sessions to engage new supportersConnecting with local outfitters, gear shops, and outdoor brands for partnershipsTabling at outdoor events, giving presentations, and attending community meetupsSending follow-ups, writing thank-you notes, and celebrating fundraising milestonesRepresenting the Alzheimer’s Association mission with passion and purposeWe’ll provide all the training and tools you need—you bring your love for hiking and your drive to make a difference.Let’s blaze new trails to end Alzheimer’s.Contact your local staff partner, Cecile, at cebrown@alz.org, or visit alz.org/dowhatyoulove to learn more and get involved.
