Our brick-and-mortar facility, affectionately known as Haven House, is a residential house converted to cage-free home for up to 60 teenage and adult cats. We need your help maintaining Haven House and keeping the kitties happy. From socializing to poop scooping, from taxi service to landscaping, from special events to paperwork, we have an opportunity to match your interest!Volunteers must be 18 or older.
About KITTY KAT HAVEN & RESCUE
Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue is a no-kill, no-cage haven for rescued kitties with less than a 3% loss rate due to illness or injury. We are based in Hoover, Alabama and primarily serve Metro-Birmingham along with surrounding counties. We are an all-volunteer (no paid staff), registered 501c3 not-for-profit animal rescue since May of 2017. Since 2017, KKHR has rescued over 6500 cats and kittens in need. During this time, we have adopted over 6000 into loving homes and provided TNVR support for another 200+. Over 300 cats and kittens are currently in our care awaiting adoption.
