Haircuts for Hospice Patients (Nonprofit)
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
Local, nonprofit Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (kchospice.org) is looking for compassionate volunteers to provide a special service for patients. Most of our patients can’t leave their home, nursing facility, or hospice house. We have a great need for licensed cosmetologists willing to donate just a little of their time (perhaps an hour or two per month) to cut hair in the patient’s residence.Whenever possible, we match volunteers with patients in their geographical area. You also have full flexibility to schedule with the patient and family when it's convenient for you.A haircut can make you feel amazing and brighten your day, and hospice patients really need that. Please help us provide a great service (and a little pampering!) to a very grateful person and their loved ones.
About Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care
Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit organization offering a range of services for people of all ages and at any stage of serious illness. We've been providing comfort and care to the seriously ill and their families in the greater Kansas City area since 1980.By providing both hospice and palliative care, we are able to assist patients and their loved ones at any time following a serious diagnosis. Hospice is provided when the focus is primarily on comfort; palliative care is provided when it is too early for hospice care and the patient may be seeking treatment aimed at cure.
