Fishers Flood Relief: Ways to Help

The City of Fishers is seeking volunteers to support our community as we respond to and recover from the current flooding emergency.

At this time, volunteers should not report to flooded neighborhoods or attempt to provide assistance on their own. Floodwaters and impacted areas may present serious hazards.
The City is currently building a roster of volunteers who are ready to help once affected areas have been assessed and cleared for safe volunteer activity. As needs are identified, registered volunteers may be contacted to assist with flood recovery efforts throughout the Fishers community.
Potential Volunteer Activities Volunteer assignments will depend on community needs and conditions and may include:
Assisting residents with cleanup of flood-affected properties
Removing debris and damaged household materials
Moving and organizing supplies
Distributing water, food, cleanup supplies, and other resources
Supporting donation collection and distribution
Assisting with community cleanup efforts
Helping with other recovery needs as identified by City staff and emergency response partners
Some assignments may involve physical labor, outdoor work, lifting, or working in areas affected by flooding. Volunteers will receive information about their specific assignment, location, and any necessary safety precautions before deployment.
Important Safety Information:
Do not enter floodwaters, flooded structures, closed roads, or restricted areas. Volunteers should only respond to locations and assignments specifically communicated by the City or its designated partners.
