Volunteer with Housing Works During Best of Fall 2026! (9/9 - 9/29)

Best of Fall is back! Each Housing Works thrift shop will be holding its own Best of Fall sale this September, and we need your help. Please consider signing up for a setup or event shift at a store near you! Details below.

Shift Descriptions
- Set-Up Phase (Slower-Paced): Set-up shifts take place the day before each store’s event while the shop is closed to the public. We need help in many areas, primarily with sorting, organizing, and hanging our premium "Best Of" inventory to prepare the floor.
- Event Day (Fast-Paced): Event shifts take place on sale day. We need assistance across the entire shop - from greeting patrons and staffing jewelry counters to keeping fitting rooms tidy and supporting the sales floor during member and public sale hours.

- Volunteer Perk: All participating volunteers receive a 25 percent off coupon for a one-time purchase at Housing Works upon completing their shift.
Every year, Best of Fall sales generate vital funding for the housing, healthcare, and advocacy services Housing Works has provided to New Yorkers since 1990. Our volunteers have always been integral to this success!
