Every year, hundreds of thousands of low-to-moderate income New Yorkers rely on NYC Free Tax Prep to file their taxes safely, accurately, and at no cost. By volunteering, you’ll help your NYC neighbors across all five boroughs save an average of $346 in tax preparation fees and access valuable tax credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit (CTC). Since launching in 2015, IRS Certified VITA/TCE Volunteer Tax Preparers have completed over 1 million tax returns and helped New Yorkers save over $200 million in estimated tax preparer fees.Make a Difference. As an IRS Certified VITA/TCE Volunteer Tax Preparer, you’ll provide free, trusted tax preparation for fellow New Yorkers while building valuable professional skills in customer service, financial literacy, and tax preparation.
