Safe Homes, Safe Futures- a Domestic Violence Awareness Event

The “Safe Homes, Safe Futures” Family Resource Fair will bring together community partners, service providers and families to raise awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This event will connect families with resources for housing, legal support, mental health, childcare and other essential services.The fair will feature interactive workshops, information booths and family-friendly activities to promote safety, healing and long-term stability.Highlights & FeaturesCommunity resource booths from local organizationsWorkshops on domestic violence prevention, trauma recovery and financial empowermentRefreshments and family-friendly activitiesGiveaways and resource materials for attendeesPre-Event Support:Assist with marketing and outreach, including social media promotion, flyer distribution and community engagement.Help with editing, printing, and organizing event materials.Provide data entry and recordkeeping support related to registrations, attendance or donations.Network with local organizations and businesses to promote event participation and sponsorship.On-Site Event Support:Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, signage and materials.Help with crowd control and guest assistance to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.Support registration and check-in tables, distribute materials or guide attendees to event areas.Perform cleanup and post-event organization as directed by the event supervisor.Qualifications:Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented with good communication skills.Comfortable working with diverse community members.Willingness to follow direction and adapt to changing event needs.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (for setup/cleanup roles, as needed).
