Through mentorship, social-emotional learning, academic enrichment, and creative expression, MAP creates safe, consistent, and empowering spaces for young people to thrive.The MAP Filmmaking Studio introduces students to the art and craft of filmmaking. By teaching storytelling, directing, filming, and editing, the program helps students explore their voices and express themselves through cinema.Role OverviewWe are seeking Volunteer Instructors for MAP Filmmaking Studio to teach students the fundamentals of filmmaking, including storytelling, directing, and video production. In this role, you will guide students through hands-on projects where they create short films, documentaries, and digital stories while building creativity, teamwork, and confidence.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate workshops introducing students to the basics of filmmaking, from storyboarding to editingTeach the use of cameras, audio, and editing tools in age-appropriate waysMentor students through the process of developing, shooting, and editing their own projectsCollaborate with teachers and MAP staff to align workshops with classroom needsEncourage teamwork, creativity, and personal expression through filmShowcase student projects and support opportunities for community presentationsQualificationsBackground or strong interest in filmmaking, media arts, or digital storytellingPassion for teaching, mentorship, and working with youthStrong communi
