Are you passionate about helping refugees and other immigrant newcomers integrate and become self-sufficient? Be an English conversation partner! One World One Love is a nonprofit that supports refugees and other immigrant newcomers in Union County. We're seeking volunteers for a new English conversation circle starting this fall. The circle will meet once a week during the day at our office in Elizabeth. We may increase the frequency depending on turn-out. Come every week or once in a while as your schedule allows. No experience necessary and we'll provide the materials to get the conversations flowing. If this sounds like you, please get in touch!
About ONE WORLD ONE LOVE A NJ NON-PROFIT CORPORATION
Founded in 2016, One World One Love welcomes refugees and asylum seekers to central NJ with material, educational, and employment support. We work closely with resettlement agencies such as the International Rescue Committee to support newly-arrived refugee families in myriad ways - from setting up fully-furnished homes to community orientation, ESL tutoring to job-search coaching. Last year, we served over 500 individuals across our many programs, all because of the dedication and efforts of our volunteers.
This opportunity has already taken place.
