We are seeking caring, driven companionship volunteers for Hospice patients in the Greater Cleveland area-- specifically Eastern Cuyahoga County. A companionship volunteer provides comfort and emotional support to patients by making visits to them at their place of residence. This could include, listening, reading, doing activities or simply being present. No medical training necessary to be a volunteer!Hospice is a special kind of caring. Hospice care is patient and family centered, andseeks to provide support and comfort to those facing a life limiting illness. Volunteersplay a large role in this effort by sharing their skills and interests in a manner thatenriches the quality of life for those they serve.
