♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
The Compeer Program at Far West Center, started in 1989, is an affiliate of Compeer International. In Compeer adult volunteers make phone calls and meet with adults who are isolated due to anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Compeer volunteers offer friendship and encouragement and help people feel significant and that they belong. Our motto is "Mental Wellness Starts With Friendship."Do you like social activities? Compeer offers weekly scheduled facilitated social events and this is Compeer volunteering! Do you prefer conversation one-to-one while walking in a park or meeting for coffee? This is Compeer volunteering too! Compeer volunteers create their own personal volunteering schedule. Volunteers are trained and ongoing support is provided.
