We are currently conducting all reviews online. We are also convening all interviews and training for volunteers online as well. The Volunteer will participate as a panel member in case reviews conducted by the Department of Children and Families. A case review is a meeting with the family, social worker, foster parents, and service providers to discuss and determine family progress relative to children who are in the care or custody of the Department of Children and Families. You do not need any special skills or degrees, we need volunteers willing to ask questions and advocate for children and families. We strongly encourage volunteers who are people of color, indigenous, LBGTQ+ and people with disabilities to apply.Find more information here: https://www.mass.gov/dcf

About Department of Children and Families

Please Note: This volunteer opportunity is not limited to Boston, as these reviews take place across the Commonwealth in all DCF Area Offices. We are seeking volunteers to help us in making decisions about their futures. The Volunteer Case Review Program offers a unique opportunity for community members to work alongside DCF to make a difference in the lives of children and families.Volunteers of the Case Review Program participate as members of a three-member case review panel who review the cases of children who have been placed in foster homes or group homes.
