Is this the year that you make a difference? Are you interested in connecting with community members on hospice services?Volunteer opportunities are available at Gentiva Hospice to provide friendly visits to patients and/or their families at local healthcare facilities or in their personal home in the areas of Canton, Walpole and Norwood.Volunteers are needed who:- Play music for patients- Are veterans interested in supporting veterans on hospice- Want to make legacy projects and crafts with and for patients and their loved ones.- Are willing to listen and talk, read a book, play cards, or watch a favorite TV show*Companionship volunteers do not perform any clinical activities with a patient such as feeding, toileting, bathing or transferring.*Volunteers schedule their own visits - day/time.*Volunteers receive training that fits into any busy schedule.For more information please contact the Manager of Volunteer Services at 617-332-0813 or at karen.girard@gentivahs.com
