Hospice Compassus is currently recruiting for Friendly Visitor Volunteers. The volunteers are friendly visitors that may chat with patients, watch TV, have lunch, doing an activity, sitting outside together or just simply hold their hand as they rest.Hospice Compassus provides training on how to work with people at the end of life. The volunteer provides the talent, compassion, and time. The patient assignments are made according to the volunteer's time and location.The volunteer hours would be flexible and so rewarding !Please contact Kathleen OConnor our volunteer coordinator who will be able to provide additional information, or answer any questions.

Hospice care includes medical, emotional, social and spiritual support.Many believe hospice is only for the final days or hours of life. This is not true. Hospice is not about dying; it's about helping patients and their families live as well as they can when life expectancy is limited.
