Volunteers - HiSET Classes (all subjects, especially math)
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
Do you enjoy helping others learn and grow? We’re looking for volunteers to support adult students in our HiSET (High School Equivalency) classes! Our students study all subjects—reading, writing, social studies, science, and math—but we especially need volunteers who can lend a hand with math.Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, and volunteers can commit to helping once a week (either Monday or Wednesday).During class, students spend part of their time working on IXL, an online learning program where each person practices the skills they personally need. This means students often work on different topics at the same time, and that’s where volunteers make a big difference! Volunteers give one-on-one support—answering questions, offering encouragement, and helping students stay motivated and confident. You don’t need teaching experience—just patience, kindness, and a willingness to help adults learn. If you’d like to make a real difference in someone’s educational journey, we’d love to have you join our team!👉 To learn more or sign up, contact: Carolline - carolline.hickey@jacksonmanncc.org
