About First Parish in Waltham Universalist Unitarian
The Waltham Clothing Exchange (WCE) is a friendly thrift shop and consignment store serving the community for 68 years! It is open seasonally, on Tuesdays only, from Sept to Dec and Feb to May.The WCE provides a low-cost source for gently used clothing and household items for people trying to make their dollars go further. About 100 to 150 customers visit the Exchange each Tuesday and we have about 80 consignors. Some of our customers buy items to send to family in their home countries. We support the environment by giving a second chance to items otherwise bound for the landfill.We provide winter gear and other clothing to several local organizations including Chaplains on the Way. The Epilepsy Foundation New England Donation Center pays us a modest amount for the donation bin and unsold clothing at the end of each season. The rest is given to Goodwill and to More Than Words.We are an auxiliary organization of the First Parish In Waltham, home of the Jones Partnership Fund . Proceeds from Clothing Exchange sales go to the First Parish budget.
