Administrative Volunteer Center for Basic Needs Assistance at JF&CSHours per week: approximately 5-10 hours per week. Potential for more hours if interested.Location: In person at our Waltham office. Potential for remote assistance in the future depending upon program needs.Start time: Mid-August to mid-SeptemberAbout the Center for Basic Needs Assistance (CBNA)CBNA offers integrated support to individuals and families facing economic hardship—ensuring access to food, housing, safety, and financial stability. Our mission is to support the Jewish community throughout Eastern Massachusetts with compassion and dignity. Our services are available for people of all backgrounds.https://www.jfcsboston.org/our-services/center-for-basic-needs-assistanceDescription:This is a great role for someone who is very organized and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Must enjoy technology and using a computer to get tasks accomplished and be comfortable speaking on the phone. The person in this position will work in collaboration with the CBNA Administrative Coordinator along with various team members of CBNA on various tasks and projects. We would welcome you into our team of committed, talented and compassionate human service professionals.Examples of tasks and projects:Assist case managers by entering client data into our data system.Assist in archiving older client paper records.Scan and upload client documents to their electronic case record file.Assist with large mailings to clients a few times per year.Domestic Violence Bathroom Poster campaign: Make calls to synagogues to make sure synagogues have the posters.
