Respite/Companionship Volunteer Opportunities

Sometimes the greatest gift is simply being there.
Intermountain Health Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to provide companionship visits to hospice patients in their homes.
As a companion volunteer, you might:
Sit and visit with a patient
Share conversation and stories
Listen to music together
Read aloud or enjoy a favorite activity
Offer a comforting, caring presence
Give family caregivers a little time to recharge
What we ask of our volunteers:
- A minimum 6-month commitment
- Approximately 1–4 hours per week
- Completion of Hospice Volunteer Orientation
- Required health screening, including TB and drug testing, provided at no cost
- Proof of required vaccinations, including MMR, Tdap, Varicella and annual flu vaccination
No medical experience is needed. We provide orientation and support- you provide the compassion, companionship and gift of your time.
