About this opportunity

The AmeriCorps Member's charge is to build organizational capacity by strengthening patient navigation, expanding community outreach, and increasing access to dental care for underserved children and families. Increasing access to oral health services is critical to the sustainability of Tri-County Dental and WAFCC.
The AmeriCorps Member will:
Assist children and families in accessing dental services and overcoming barriers to care.
Provide patient navigation support and help individuals understand non-clinical service requirements.
Support outreach and engagement efforts with schools, families, and community partners.
Assist with school-based and community-based programs that increase access to preventive dental services.
Help develop educational materials and outreach resources that promote oral health and available services.
Support capacity-building projects that strengthen patient-access systems and improve service delivery.
Participate in community events and outreach activities that increase awareness of available dental resources.
Through these activities, the AmeriCorps Member will strengthen Tri-County Dental's outreach and patient navigation infrastructure, increase awareness and utilization of dental services, improve access to care for underserved populations, and enhance the organization's capacity to meet community oral health needs.
The mission of the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (WAFCC) is to support, strengthen, and advocate for Wisconsin's free and charitable clinics, the patients they serve, and the communities with whom they partner. The location for this project is Tri-County Dental in Appleton, Wisconsin
